01 · Agreement and eligibility

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Use govern the ComicFluent website, mobile app, and related services (the “Service”). ComicFluent is based in India. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 to use ComicFluent. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You must also be able to use the Service lawfully in your location. If you disagree with these Terms, do not use the Service.

02 · What ComicFluent does

What ComicFluent does

ComicFluent helps you bring chapter links, images, ZIP or CBZ archives into the app, arrange pages, translate text with AI assistance, edit the result, and read saved chapters. Availability, languages, supported sources, and features may vary by platform and version. Our website also displays original or rights-cleared public sample comics; those are distinct from material users bring into the app.

03 · Accounts and security

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information where an account is required and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless law provides otherwise. Tell [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require verification before restoring access or responding to sensitive requests.

04 · Chapter links and uploads

Chapter links and uploads

You choose the sources, images, and archives you submit. You must have the rights or permission needed to access, copy, upload, process, translate, and use them. Respect the copyright, access rules, and terms of each source. ComicFluent does not grant you rights in third-party comics or guarantee that a source permits capture or translation.

05 · Private reading, not republication

Private reading, not republication

The app is intended to help you read and organize material you are permitted to use. Unless you hold the necessary rights, do not publish, sell, distribute, or make translated pages available to others. You remain responsible for how you use both original and translated material.

06 · Permission to process your material

Permission to process your material

You keep any rights you have in the material you submit. To provide the features you request, you grant ComicFluent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to receive, process temporarily, copy, analyze, transform, translate, and transmit that material as reasonably needed for import, translation, editing, reading, support, and security. This includes request-scoped processing through service providers and does not transfer ownership to ComicFluent. The permission does not include training or fine-tuning models on your data. Please do not submit material for which you cannot grant this operational permission.

07 · Website artwork and intellectual property

Website artwork and intellectual property

The ComicFluent name, logos, software, design, and original website content belong to ComicFluent or their respective licensors. Public sample comics and artwork on our website may have separate credits and reuse limits. Apart from rights expressly granted to you, these Terms do not license our intellectual property or anyone else's comic material for reuse.

08 · Acceptable use

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to infringe rights, bypass paywalls or source restrictions, distribute unlawful content, impersonate others, attack systems, automate abusive requests, interfere with other users, or reverse engineer the Service except where law permits. Do not use the Service to exploit children or share material you are not legally allowed to possess. We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect the Service.

09 · Content and age suitability

Content and age suitability

Sources you choose may contain violence, sexual material, or other mature themes. ComicFluent does not endorse every external source or review every user-selected page. You are responsible for choosing appropriate material and following applicable law and source rules.

10 · AI translations and edits

AI translations and edits

OCR and AI translation can miss, distort, or invent text, names, context, or reading order. The output is not a certified or authorized translation, and it may not be suitable for important decisions. Review results and use the editing tools where needed. AI processing requires connectivity and may involve third-party providers as explained in the Privacy Policy. We do not retain your page content after its request finishes, and we do not use your data to train or fine-tune models.

11 · Coins and translation usage

Coins and translation usage

Coins are an in-Service balance used for eligible AI translation work. The amount charged, available packs, bonus amounts, and any applicable conditions are shown in the app. Coins may be deducted as paid work begins; a failed or interrupted job is handled according to the app's current credit rules. A coin balance is not cash, a bank deposit, or transferable property, and cannot be redeemed for money except where applicable law requires. We may correct billing or balance errors and investigate misuse. Pro membership and translation coins are separate.

Planned coin-pack expiry, not yet active: We intend for unused coins from a one-time coin-pack purchase to remain valid for up to six months after purchase, then be removed from the wallet. No coins currently expire under this planned rule. We will announce its effective date and explain how it applies to purchases before enforcing it, and show the term in the app before an affected purchase.

12 · Pro features and chapter access

Pro features and chapter access

Pro may provide bonus coins with eligible purchases, offline reading of saved chapters, room beyond the Free plan's 15 locally saved chapters per device, and assisted discovery of nearby source chapters. Current benefits and eligibility are shown in the app. When paid Pro access ends, Pro-only features and chapters beyond the Free allowance may become locked; those saved chapters are not automatically deleted merely because membership ends. Restoring access may require an active entitlement and a connection to verify it.

13 · Your local chapters

Your local chapters

Your saved chapters, translations, and edits live on your device. ComicFluent does not keep a server backup of that library. Clearing app data, uninstalling the app, deleting your account, or losing or resetting your device may permanently erase those files. You are responsible for any copies you want to keep, and we cannot restore content that is no longer on the device. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of locally stored chapters resulting from those actions.

14 · Purchases, subscriptions, and renewal

Purchases, subscriptions, and renewal

App-store purchases are offered through the relevant store and may be administered with a purchase-management provider. The store displays the price, currency, tax, renewal terms, and confirmation before you pay. A subscription may renew automatically unless canceled under the store's rules. You can manage or cancel it in the store account used to buy it. Uninstalling the app or deleting your ComicFluent account does not itself cancel a subscription.

15 · Refunds and purchase problems

Refunds and purchase problems

App-store refund rights and requests are governed by the store's policies and applicable law. If a purchase, entitlement, or coin balance looks wrong, contact [email protected] with the store transaction reference but not your full payment details. We will review Service-side errors; we cannot promise a refund outside the store's process or override legal rights.

16 · Trials and promotions

Trials and promotions

We may offer trials, introductory offers, discounts, bonus coins, referral rewards, or other promotions. Each offer may have additional conditions shown when it is presented. We may change or end a promotion subject to applicable law and existing purchase rights. Do not use duplicate accounts or other misleading methods to claim an offer more often than intended.

17 · Usage limits and fair access

Usage limits and fair access

Device, chapter, coin, rate, upload, or other limits may apply as shown in the Service. Even a feature described as generous or unlimited may be subject to reasonable fair-use controls designed for human reading rather than continuous automated or commercial-scale processing. Do not evade limits through bots, modified clients, account sharing, repeated accounts, or payment abuse. We may slow, restrict, or suspend excessive use when reasonably necessary to protect the Service and other users, subject to applicable law.

18 · External websites and providers

External websites and providers

Source sites, sign-in providers, app stores, and other services are independent from ComicFluent and may change or disappear. We do not control their content, availability, access rules, or terms. A link or in-app browser view is not an endorsement. Your use of those services may be subject to their own agreements.

19 · Availability, tests, and changes

Availability, tests, and changes

We may change, suspend, or retire features, supported sources, prices for future purchases, or test functionality. We do not guarantee that ComicFluent will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Maintenance, technical faults, provider failures, and outages may interrupt or delay browsing, translation, purchases, or access to online features. We also do not guarantee permanent support for any source or that a test feature will become generally available. Where required, we will give notice or honor rights attached to an existing purchase.

20 · Feedback

Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve ComicFluent without an obligation to compensate you, while you retain any rights that law does not allow you to waive. Do not send confidential information as general feedback.

21 · Suspension and termination

Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably needed to address a security risk, suspected fraud, infringement, misuse, or a legal requirement. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion. Rights and obligations that reasonably need to survive termination, including payment records, intellectual-property limits, and dispute provisions, will continue as permitted by law.

22 · Copyright concerns

If you believe material publicly available through ComicFluent infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with enough information to identify the work, the location, your rights, and how we can reach you. We may ask for verification, remove material where appropriate, and address repeat misuse. For material on an external source site, you may also need to contact that site's operator.

23 · Disclaimers and responsibility

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as available, without a promise that every translation, source, page, or feature will be accurate, secure, or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded. You are responsible for claims arising from material you submit or uses that violate these Terms or another person's rights, to the extent allowed by applicable law.

24 · Limits on liability

Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ComicFluent is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by using the Service or by an independent source or provider. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer protections.

25 · App-store terms

App-store terms

If you obtain the app through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another marketplace, that marketplace's conditions also apply to its distribution and billing services. Its required terms take priority only to the extent they govern your use of that marketplace. The marketplace is not responsible for ComicFluent support or content except where its own terms or law require.

26 · Trade and export rules

Trade and export rules

You must comply with applicable export, sanctions, and trade restrictions. Do not use the Service where doing so would be unlawful.

27 · Governing law and disputes

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, except where mandatory consumer or privacy law gives you different protections. Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Courts in India may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction rights you have elsewhere.

28 · Other legal terms

Other legal terms

These Terms and the policies they reference are the agreement for using this Service. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our agreement; we may transfer the Service or these Terms as part of a lawful reorganization or sale, subject to applicable law. Nothing here takes away rights granted by mandatory law.

29 · Changes to these Terms

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service evolves. The date above marks the current version. For material changes, we will provide notice when required and give you an appropriate opportunity to review them. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept them where law permits.
